🧩 WHAT THE ALGORITHM IS MISSING

Everything online—influencers, brands, creators, the economy itself—depends on an algorithm. But the algorithm is just a mechanical extension of outdated accounting principles and GAAP/GASB/FASB frameworks. And here’s the brutal truth:

1. Intangible Capital Isn’t Counted

• Under GAAP, intangibles like trust, creativity, community, brand resonance, audience’s emotional investment are often expensed immediately rather than capitalized.

• That means creator-built assets—subscriber communities, digital intimacy, algorithmic resonance—don’t show up as assets, even though they fuel value.

2. The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Has the Power

• The FASB defines what counts as an asset or value—and it excludes most modern creative or relationship-driven capital.

3. Algorithmic Incentives Mirror Accounting Biases
